Why fat folks don’t want to help make your organization inclusive

Image description: A fat white woman in a short-sleeved red dress sits in front of a stone wall and shrugs. There’s a pattern I’ve seen displayed dozens of times by people and organizations who are asked to walk their talk about size inclusivity, and it goes something like this: Invalidation or gaslighting of the fat…

Fat Rolls Not Gender Rolls Side Messenger Bag

Fat Rolls Not Gender Rolls Side Messenger Bag

FFC is at it again!! This time with a new take on the side bag for FAT FOLKS!! When you are fat the world of fashion doesn’t take us into consideration…so nothing ever β€œfits right”…Well honestly I have had enough of that.

This bag has an adjustable strap just like our OVER IT ALLS! I used 1.5” Welded metal rings to tie your strap to!! The Fat Rolls β€œpatch” on the front is actually an external pocket! There are also 2 internal pockets. The lining and pocket fabric will be chosen by me but if you have a preference for color or print please let me know! You also have your choice of solid duck cotton that the body of the bag is made out of.

Bag has a squared bottom

Whole bag is lined with a strong interfacing to give this bag a LOT of durability

Strap is around 80”-85” long to adjust as you would like!

Body of the bag 18” tall and 16” wide

Fat Activist Sticker: It is Okay to Be Fat

Fat Activist Sticker: It is Okay to Be Fat

Fat activist stickers help normalize fat bodies β€” and they demonstrate to those around you that you accept and support fat bodies.

If this feels big, go ahead and take a deep, cleansing breath, then say it with me: “It is okay to be fat.”

“What if people push back?” Well, I’ve prepared a few responses you can use as guidelines.

β€œBut it’s NOT okay, it’s not healthy!” For one, fatness and health don’t correlate like that. Secondly, I didn’t address health at all. You brought that into this.
β€œYou’re glorifying ob*sity!” No, I’m normalizing a very common body type. (Also, LET’S GLORIFY THE F#CK OUT OF IT.)
β€œBut it’s gross!” That sounds like a You problem, my good b!tch.

Beauty and health are not measures of worth. Fat is not an isolated indicator of health. Your existence is good. Your body is a good body. It is okay to be fat.

This sticker is great for things like laptops, tablet cases, guitar cases, notebooks, or anything else you like. The paper is uncoated, however, so don’t put it on things that will get wet.

Fat-Positive Pin: BMI is Bullshit (2.25in Round Button)

Enjoy this body-positive button and let everyone around you know that BMI is bullshit.

The body mass index is…problematic at best. Completely worthless is more like it. All bodies are good bodies, and BMI is bullshit. You can be healthy at any and every size β€” and neither your health, size, shape, or weight determine your worth.
